Uses the common main-series damage formula structure. Complex ability, item, weather, and generation-specific mechanics may require manual modifiers.

Formula

D=((2L/5+2)PA50Df+2)×M×rD=\left\lfloor\left(\left\lfloor\frac{(2L/5+2)PA}{50D_f}\right\rfloor+2\right)\times M\times r\right\rfloor

The base damage is calculated from level, move power, attack, and defense. Modifiers such as STAB and type effectiveness are applied, then the random range is shown from 85% to 100%.

Guide

This unofficial fan calculator estimates a Pokemon-style damage range from level, move power, attack, defense, STAB, type effectiveness, burn, and an extra modifier.

Formula shape

The compact form follows the familiar main-series damage structure:

D=((2L/5+2)PA50Df+2)×M×rD=\left\lfloor\left(\left\lfloor\frac{(2L/5+2)PA}{50D_f}\right\rfloor+2\right)\times M\times r\right\rfloor

r is the random damage factor from 0.85 to 1.00. The calculator shows both ends of that range.
