Formula
The formula to calculate the time duration is simple: it is the end time minus the start time minus the break time.

Example
Let us say you start work at 9:00 AM and finish at 5:30 PM. You also take a 30 minute break.
The time duration calculator will calculate the time you worked. First it calculates the time from 9:00 AM, to 5:30 PM which is 8.5 hours. Then it subtracts the 30 minute break which is 0.5 hours.
So the result is 8 hours. This can also be given as 480 minutes or 0.3333 days.
