The business days calculator counts working days between dates or adds a number of business days to a start date. It can exclude weekends, US federal holidays, and custom dates.
Count mode
Count mode checks every date from the start date through the end date. If a date is not a weekend or excluded holiday, it counts as one business day.
Add mode
Add mode moves forward or backward one calendar day at a time and only subtracts from the remaining count when the date is a business day.
Holiday handling
The US federal preset includes observed dates for common holidays such as New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
You can also enter custom exclusions as comma-separated dates:
2026-11-27, 2026-12-24
